I've been thinking about starting my own group on here. I have mentioned this before, a couple years ago, but I didn't have a good enough idea. I think now I would have a group for intermediate level artists of all ages, with semi-strict selection, across all visual art: craft, sculpture, traditional, contemporary, digital and photographic. However my only problem is that I don't know what my internet connection will be like in the future and I don't really know if I'll be able to get the right admin for the group, who have similar standards to mine.

Hi all, hello it is me! Surprise :P :shakefish: okay so emojis still work. Questions for you who know better than me! 1. On the topic of emojis, how do I bring up the emoji list on Eclipse? 2. How do I bring up formatting for Journals? 3. WHERE DO I FIND MY GROUP ADMIN/GROUP NOTIFICATIONS/FEEDBACK??? This is concerning. I assume we will all eventually be on this layout but I cannot figure out where to find this! 4. Do sharing thumbs/images still work in posts like these? Will stamps still work if I update my profile section on Eclipse? 5. I wanted to do a feature with this but I now no longer know how to get a thumb/image code to share on posts. How do I do this? Send help. (ps. why is there no preview button??)
A Premature Goodbye: Stopping Activity
Hi all,
As many of you would have noticed I have barely been active here. Over the past 12 months I have picked up a job teaching art at the local tech school, received gallery representation, become an independent curator and am now starting my own private workshops. So I have had little time to be on this site.
As a result, I have decided to cease uploading my art to this site. Definitely my photography, and most likely my traditional art too.
I'm at a stepping stone in my career and I just have too much going on to keep this account active anymore. I will remain to help out on UnlimitedPhotography and PhotoUnited as I am still founder o

The way I see it is the right person to run a group is difficult. Three questions I'd need to know before I'd say taking an admin or contributor job is the following.
Do You have a job? If no are you looking if not why. If yes is it a steady job where hours don't change much?
Have you ever been under significant pressure to get work/project done? If yes how did you handle it? If no do you procrastinate often?
Last Question is more of a math problem. Add up your Deviation, Watch, and Feedback stacks that you haven't taken care of before bed and put it below.
Even if you are going to open a group those are things you should ask yourself and be honest with yourself. Usually if you go through all the questions it should either make you more confident about opening a group or make you think twice about opening. It's either a confidence builder or a deal breaker depending on how answering them makes you feel.
